Chuck Klco, running for Leroy Township Trustee
Chuck Klco, a building and grounds supervisor for Lake County, has been a trustee since 1994.
In that time, Klco said he has secured more than $750,000 in Ohio Public Work funds and in the last four years, he has worked with the Road and Service Department to obtain $250,000 in grants.
Klco said 31/2 years ago Leroy was the first township to require riparian setbacks in its zoning code to protect waterways.
If re-elected, Klco said he will continue addressing community issues with state and county officials, research grants and other funding sources as well as promote commercial growth around Vrooman Road’s Interstate 90 interchange.
“This is important to our residents as they have expressed their desire to
keep the rest of our township as rural as possible,” Klco said.
The 40-year resident has served on several boards, including Lake County’s Ohio Public Works Board, 911 Planning Board, Lake County Health District Advisory Board and Lake County Security Advisory Board.
