Jerry Armstrong
Armstrong, 58 and a Democrat, has never held public office. He recently served on the North Ridgeville City Charter Review Committee. He is a licensed insurance agent employed by New York Life Insurance and has a bachelor’s degree from Walsh University and a master’s of business administration from Baldwin Wallace College.
If elected, Armstrong would like to see a school complex with a recreation center built and new fire stations constructed using combinations of state, local, private and corporate funding, naming rights and bond issues. Job creation, with an emphasis on promoting shipping logistics via the Great Lakes, highways, rail and air, is another area Armstrong would focus on.
“I will engage local, regional, national and global companies to relocate or establish factory and service centers in North Ridgeville,” he said.
Armstrong said his experience as a corporate professional and mentor to colleagues poises him for the position.
