Kevin Corcoran
Corcoran, 45 and a Republican, has served on council since 2008 and
council president four years. Corcoran is an attorney for Bob Schmitt
Homes and a member of the North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce. He has a
bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Scranton and his
juris doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of law.
If elected, Corcoran said he would like to improve economic development
efforts for improved business services, retail opportunities and an
expanded tax base.
“I believe we need some professional help in this area and I will work
to gain the support of other council members to address this area of
need,” he said.
Corcoran said combatting flooding in both newer and older areas is a priority.
“We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on this issue over the
years,” he said. “Whether it’s building additional retention basins or
changing the flow of water within our city, we can make a difference.”
Corcoran said continued improvements in communication between city government, citizens and businesses is also a top priority.
