Lisa L. Carter
Carter, 46, a self-employed
educational consultant for business education and technology
integration, is a 1985 graduate of Midview High School and holds a
Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction-Educational Technology
degree from Ashland University.
The mother of two said her daughter is a Midview graduate and her son currently attends Midview.
“This is my alma mater, as well as my children's alma mater, so I have a vested interest in its success,” she added.
Carter is heavily involved with the school, as she currently is a
member of the Midview Compass Committee, Midview Band Boosters and part
of the organizing committee of the Midview Band Alumni.
Carter said if elected, she will increase programming at the schools to boost enrollment without burdening taxpayers.
She said she will incorporate innovative funding ideas to boost special
education and gifted programs, helping students prepare for a future in
business, foreign language and arts.
She said she also will use her
expertise in technology integration to ensure the very best technology
for students by analyzing where the district's technology dollars are
being used and reallocating them as necessary.
