Nancy Saunders
Saunders, while continuing to attend workshops and conferences to better
understand how state and federal law changes affect the township, will
work to create better relationships for Huntsburg with surrounding
communities.
“I will continue to seek grants for road paving and find an economical
way to provide a more stable, dust-free road surface,” Saunders said.
She also said that the coming years will likely be challenging for the township.
“As township leaders, we must work within our budget and spend tax
dollars very wisely. Sometimes that means getting back to rolling up our
sleeves and actually doing some of the work ourselves, like many
trustees did before,” she said.
Saunders also said in the past she was “instrumental” in obtaining
grants for tire recycling, and the township recreation park and gym.
“I am not afraid of hard work or long hours. I believe I have proven
that in my past elected position of township clerk and fiscal officer,”
she said.
