Nancy Steele, a retired clerk from the Lake County Elections Board, has served as a township trustee since 2006.
She serves on the Perry Joint Fire District Board and Lake County and Ohio Township Associations. In addition, the 58-year resident has also served on the Ohio Association of Election Officials, International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers and Greater Cleveland Cemetery Association.
If reelected, Steele said she aims to attract businesses, preserve the community’s rural atmosphere and support nurseries. In addition, Steele said she will continue funding recreation programs for children, adults and seniors and working on the lakefront stabilization project at Perry Township Park.
“I believe the future is dependent upon a great working relationship between Perry Township, Perry Village, North Perry Village and Perry Schools, as well as many other local, state and federal individuals and agencies,” Steele said. “I believe I have developed an excellent reputation of being able to work well with all.”
