Naomi Twine
Twine, 50, is an executive assistant and equal employment opportunity officer for the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave.
The lifelong Sandusky resident has a master of arts and a bachelor of liberal studies degree from Bowling Green State University. Additionally, she has an associate of arts from the University of Cincinnati.
Twine, a registered Democrat running for a nonpartisan seat, views her long-running Sandusky roots as the perfect reason to vote for her.
“I was born and raised in Sandusky and genuinely care about how we move this great city forward,” she said. “We are a great community with great people who want and desire leaders who can work through barriers.”
If elected, Twine said she has two main goals.
The first is to develop plans that effectively address the city’s operational needs while forming long-term plans.
The second is to improve and nurture relationships among commissioners, city employees, citizens, community organizations and other governments.
“I wish to bring to the commission table a fresh, new energy and a spirit of collaboration, consensus building and goal setting where we work together to put Sandusky on a strategic path for growth and development,” Twine said. “As someone who has learned how to work with people who have diverse experiences and come from diverse backgrounds, I believe my skills will be useful as we all work together in the spirit of community success.”
