Roseanne Johnson
Johnson, 58 and a Republican, has served 14 years on council, a stint as
council president and on numerous boards and committees. She is a
retired bailiff from the Elyria Municipal Court and a graduate of the
Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy.
Johnson is a member of St. Peter’s Church, Veteran’s of Foreign Wars
Ladies Auxiliary and president of the North Ridgeville Republican Club.
If elected, Johnson said healthy city finances should stand before any other goal.
“We must continue to spend wisely and manage our city infrastructure in a responsible way,” she said.
Roads, storm water management and infrastructure improvements are also a
top priority and the city must do better to improve its image, Johnson
said.
“I recently introduced an ordinance regulating the proliferation of
donation dumpsters in the city,” she said. “We also need to do a better
job of enforcing sign and litter regulations.”
