Laura DePledge for Eastlake Council At Large

Sitting on the city’s finance committee, in her questionnaire DePledge said keeping a handle on Eastlake’s budget and finding ways to improve the city without additional financial burdens to residents is her top priority.
“Improvement project grants are key to future growth and creating an inviting environment,” she said. “I intend to continue my work on the finance committee and participate with other organizations and businesses to let them know Eastlake is open to their ideas as we rebuild and repair our city.”
DePledge acknowledged that the city has had to make some tough decisions, but said every decision is made with the belief that it’s a step in the right direction.
“Voters have established a financial framework for leaders to manage our city. We hear them,” she said. “We routinely monitor income and expenses to maintain a balanced budget.”
