Michael Zuren for Eastlake Council At Large
With a diverse volunteer history and his work background, Zuren said he thinks his experiences will serve Eastlake residents. Though he plans on tackling multiple areas if elected, Zuren identified three areas with “glaring issues”: family and youth activities, job creation and business growth and opportunities. He said the city needs to open the pool and work with local businesses to pay for and open a mutually beneficial splash park. Zuren also wants to remove limitations for Eastlake residents that intend to open a small business, and efficiently use Eastlake’s resources to expand the tax base.
“I believe my 24 years’ experience in banking and finance as well as my education will benefit the City of Eastlake and offer a more diverse viewpoint and approach to improve the City’s services, budget, and tax base,” he said.
Zuren said he volunteers for the Good Shepherd Church, Willoughby United Methodist Church, Lake County Board of Realtors and Lake County Early Childhood PTA.
