Robb Lyons
Lyons, 37, was elected to the Board of Education in 2009 and has served on multiple district committees. He is a district manager for US Bank and has a bachelor's degree in international politics from Pennsylvania State University. Lyons is a member of Citizens for Better Schools and is a basketball, football and soccer coach for youth leagues in North Ridgeville.
He has resided in North Ridgeville for 10 years and is active with the Wilcox Elementary and North Ridgeville Middle School Parent Teacher's Association.
If re-elected, Lyons said he would like to improve community outreach and communication and expand upon improvements already made. Improving school facilities is another priority, he said.
“Our current facilities are grossly inadequate and don't provide a positive learning environment for students or educators,” he said.
Lyons said he would continue to be a voice for fiscal planning that includes efficiency and adequate financial reserves.
“I have dedicated the past four years as a board member and focused on a balanced approach between excellence in education, valuing our educators and accountability to our taxpayers,” he said.
