Donald O’Toole for Richmond Heights City Council

Donald O’Toole
O’Toole has been a resident of Richmond Heights for 28 years and has been an at-large council member for the past 20 1/2 years.
If reelected, O’Toole said he would like to reinstate some portions of the departments that were cut during the past two years. He said that approximately “75 percent of the $1,000,000 replaced via a tax levy passed in 2013, we can begin to replace some of the cuts made and restore those departments to a higher level.”
He said police and recreation are the first two departments that will be addressed during the 2014 budget discussions.
O’Toole said the city also needs someone to work full-time in economic development who is not part of the current staff. He said the return on investment “could be huge if we land a big company. Or a string of smaller companies could add up to big dollars.” He said that this will require a budgetary commitment of $50,000 to $100,000.
