Brian Dembinski for Amherst treasurer

Brian Dembinski
Brian Dembinski, 31, has been a resident of Amherst for five years and is single.
If elected, Dembinski plans to extend the current hours of the treasurer’s office. Having extended hours outside the normal weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. would be beneficial to those who are not able to visit during that time, Dembinski said.
Dembinski added the overall strategy for the next two decades must be addressed.
“Having a master plan and the financial backing for that plan is going to be vital to the city,” he said. “By starting to address this issue now, we can make sure that the financial future of our city is secure.”
Dembinski said voters should elect him because of his educational background and his positions as treasurer and deputy treasurer for multiple organizations.
“Dealing with numbers on the level that the treasurer does can be a technical challenge,” he said. “I have had great success before and it is a service I would like to provide to the citizens of Amherst.”
