Larry Reiter for Chardon School Board

Reiter said among the reasons he should be elected is his lengthy track record of “being able to make the tough decisions while maintaining a positive approach to reconciling differences.”
He would like to continue working in collaboration with fellow board members, administrators, staff and the community to make the Chardon district one in which children receive an exemplary education. Other goals are to bring to fruition a new five-year strategic plan to guide the district in the areas of academic, facilities, technology, finance and communication and assure sound stewardship of taxpayers’ money through oversight and best practices in the decision-making process.
Reiter’s non-elected office experience includes being a former member of the Munson Township Zoning Commission and Geauga County YMCA Board of Managers and former education chairman of Geauga County United Way Services.
He also served as Chardon’s representative to Auburn Career Center for 12 years. He is a member of Chardon Schools Foundation, Chardon High School Alumni Hall of Fame and Chardon Gridiron Club.
