David Janik for Amherst City Council

David Janik
Janik and his wife, Jeana, have four children. Janik said that as a life-long resident of Amherst, he chose to raise his family in the city because he is dedicated to his hometown and its future.
If elected, Janik hopes to continue to enhance the great accomplishments that have been made toward developing new business in Amherst and grow its economic base. He said increasing revenues that will benefit the city and promote job growth is necessary to continue the city’s economic success.
He said he hopes to carry on his family’s legacy of serving Amherst. His father was once mayor and his brother has previously served on council.
“I hope to create more opportunities while upholding the traditions that proudly proclaim our city as not only a great place to live, but also as the sandstone center of the world.”
