Frank DeTillio for Lorain City Council

Frank DeTillio
Frank DeTillio, 66, is seeking to be elected to the Ward 8 seat he was appointed to in January 2013.
An Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, DeTillio graduated from Admiral King High School and the University of Akron. He is president of the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. He is married to his wife, Rosa. He also is a member of a number of Lorain County and outside business and veterans groups.
DeTillio he will continue to support and oversee the needs of the police and fire departments so that they can provide safe and healthy neighborhoods that will continue to attract new residents to our city.
“Quality safety forces also attract businesses and jobs to the city,” he said. “For the city of Lorain to move up on the list of desirable cities to live and work in, we must maintain a strong, qualified safety force dedicated to protecting and supporting our citizens. That is one of my priorities.”
Another priority is working with residents of the 8th Ward to resolve issues that impact their day-to-day quality of life.
“With that in mind, it will also be important to monitor any future developments for the ward so that we can continue to maintain the integrity of our neighborhoods and shopping districts into the future,” he said.
Overseeing the city’s finances is also at the top of the list for the next term, DeTillio said.
“This administration has a number of projects designed to improve Lorain and working with them to maintain fiscally responsible oversight of our finances will be critical to our success,” he said. “The development of partnerships and collaborations that will share the cost of future projects and save the residents dollars will be part of that strategy.”
