Daniel J. Ursu for Richmond Heights mayor

Daniel J. Ursu
Ursu, a Richmond Heights resident for 31 years, has served as an elected official in Richmond Heights for 28 years, including 24 as the mayor. He was appointed to the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission by County Executive Ed FitzGerald.
He said that the passing of Issue 7 in May will bring in an additional $800,000 in revenue in 2014, which can be used to revive some of the services that were curtailed as well as bring back some jobs that were lost to reductions that began in 2009.
“As the person at the point of these reductions when they were made I have the experience and knowledge of how the cuts were undertaken and why,” he said.
“Therefore I would be the best person able to correctly prioritize the order and magnitude at which they should be brought back and when.”
