Sherry Koski for Wickliffe Council At Large
A retired petty officer 1st class from the United State Navy Reserve,
Koski said she’s seeking re-election to continue the work she’s been
doing with a new focus on addressing flooding problems and advancing
road projects.
“Obviously after the heavy rains and extensive flooding our city experienced this past July, it is a priority to determine where the problems are and fix them or assist in correcting the problems,” she said in her questionnaire. “Road projects will continue throughout the city hopefully eliminating some of the issues that we have had in the past.”
Koski said she’s proud to be a part of a city that is financially strong and is able to provide excellent services.
“In 12 years as council-at-large I have been part of many improvements in the city. I voted in favor of saving approximately $4 million by purchasing an existing building for the service garage instead of constructing a new one,” she said. “I have also been part of many other improvements in the city from road improvements to the creation of (the) Liberty Gardens, the new senior center and ensuring a pool was included in the redesign of Jindra Park.”
