Mark Erdei
Erdei, 56, was unanimously appointed to fill the Ward 4 seat in 2012
when Richard Rossi vacated the seat to become council president. Erdei
resigned as a member of the Planning Commission to represent Ward 4.
Erdei is a self-employed carpet installer who currently serves as the
council representative for the Planning Commission and as a member of
the Safety Committee. He is a 1974 graduate of Lorain Catholic High
School.
Erdei said his main focus, if elected, would be safety forces, storm drainage systems and the Shoreway Shopping Center.
“With our safety forces being down to minimum staffing levels our city
needs its forces stronger to provide the proper protection and attention
needed,” he said. “Our city's sewer system has made some improvements
but more progress is needed.”
Erdei said after living in Ward 4 for 35 years he views the residents as a second family.
