Richard Ramsey
Richard Ramsey, 35, and his wife are the parents of two children.
If elected, Ramsey says he will examine and correct the problem of
entities that are not paying taxes. He said the biggest challenge for
the city is to have enough money to pay for the services to its
residents to keep those services up to date. As treasurer, Ramsey says
he plans to be a good steward of public money by “handling those matters
in a transparent and conscientious manner.”
Voters should elect him because of his education, training and
experience, he said. While attending Cleveland-Marshall, he studied
public administration and business management.
As a small business owner, Ramsey said he has been involved in several
organizations with regard to budget and finance administration.
“I am experienced in budget preparation, financial oversight, business
management and many other qualities that lend themselves to being an
effective city treasurer,” he added.
