Eli De Los Santos for Lorain City Council president

Eli De Los Santos
Republican Eli De Los Santos, 33, of Fallow way, is seeking his first elected office. An Earl C. Clements graduate, De Los Santos is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in finance through the University of Phoenix. He works as a relationship banker for JPMorgan Chase. He and his wife, Joanly, have two sons.
De Los Santos said his business experiences have helped him grow, learn and understand what the everyday consumer needs.
“As a relationship banker, I help businesses start and expand in my community every day, and know what it takes to become appealing to outside factories and other businesses,” De Los Santos said. “I am a hard worker that will not rest until the community is brought back to its splendor.”
Lorain Council can have a positive effect on the community through its schools as well as city government, De Los Santos said.
“I am a parent of a school-aged child who attends the Lorain City Schools district and also live with an outstanding educator, my wife, who is a special education teacher,” he said. “Together we communicate about the issues, challenges, and motivations of the community and school district and want to help find ways that will improve our school report card and boost school scores.”
De Los Santos also promised to have transparency for Lorain city government.
“If chosen as Lorain’s’ City Council President, I will demonstrate transparency throughout my candidacy and collaborate with all participants willing to do what is best for our community no matter the affiliation,” he said.
