Robert Dawson
Robert “Bob” Dawson, a program administrator for Lake County Department
of Job and Family Services, has served for 17 years on the Auburn Career
Center School Board and Lake County Board of Education, taking on the
title of president for 11 of those years.
Dawson has also sat on the Lake County Fair Board, Ohio Fair Managers
Association Board of Directors, Lake County United Way Board and as a
volunteer, Lake County Human Resources Council, Lake County Private
Industry Council and Lake County Workforce Investment Board.
In addition, the 62-year resident is currently director of Lake County Port Authority’s Small Business Corp.
If elected, Dawson said he wants to take a central role in Perry’s Joint
Economic Development District, lure more private investment and
facilitate better local government communication and collaboration.
“I have been fortunate to wear many hats over my professional career(s)
which has allowed me to learn in several different functional areas,”
Dawson said, listing some of those areas as finances, labor relations,
procurement, construction, grant writing, economic development and
public relations.
