Gary Darr for Willoughby Council Ward 4

Gary Darr for Willoughby Council Ward 4

Darr, a research and planning associate for Sisters of Charity Health System, says he plans to tackle one key issue if he’s elected to the Ward 4 council seat.
“I believe the biggest issue facing Willoughby is the inability of our current storm and sanitary sewer systems to handle the high-intensity rains that have hit the area since 2006,” he said in his questionnaire. “Many residents continue to be affected by the torrential rains and flooding. Currently, steps are being taken to study and improve the situation. Every inch of both systems need(s) to be examined to understand how they can be improved.”
Resolution of this matter, Darr said, will have a positive impact on the residents of Willoughby and on the image of the city as a destination community.
“I am confident that my education, career experience and demonstrated ability to manage programs and outreach initiatives have prepared me to successfully contribute to the City of Willoughby’s future as your Ward 4 councilman,” he said
