Angela M. Lisy
If re-elected, Lisy would like to focus on expanding academic services and opportunities for students who are college-bound.
“We were able to offer students in grades 11 and 12, (the) opportunity
to take Dual Enrollment classes in four subject areas,” she said.
“Additionally, we are working diligently with our counselors and
teachers to expand our Advance Placement courses and Post Secondary
Enrollment options for our highest achieving students.”
She also would like to work toward offering internship and
apprenticeship opportunities for students, as well as creating
partnerships with the community through shared facilities and services.
“It is essential that our district create opportunities for our students
to participate in real-world learning environments where they can
develop the problem-solving, interactive skills necessary for future
employment,” she said.
Lisy said she has worked to preserve middle school sports and
after-school extracurricular activities, helped to cut costs and
contributed to increased student and staff credibility.
