Gerald Mitchell, running for Troy Township Trustee

Mitchell would improve the township’s fire department by working with adjoining communities.
“We could share staffing and purchase of equipment, supplies and contract fuel and services,” he said. “This will save taxpayers monies.”
Mitchell said he would like to improve zoning in order to maintain a rural charter while promoting commercial growth on Route 422 to keep homeowner taxes low.
He also would like to inform residents more through a newsletter, create a farmers’ market, install a surveillance camera to monitor the playground and pavilion refurbish the upstairs of the community hall and promote younger resident involvement in the community.
“Residents should vote for me because having started a business and attending any financial management classes gives me the knowledge to handle tax payer funds wisely,” he said.
