Heather Shelton, running for Leroy Township Trustee

Heather Shelton, a Registered Nurse for Lake Health, who said that if elected she would like to explore micro-surfacing as a less expensive alternative to pothole repair and work with fire chief to provide proper staffing ratios and resources at the Leroy Fire Department.
She also would look at implementing a mass text service to alert residents of meetings and upcoming events.
“I will work to maintain (the) rural atmosphere by supporting the larger 3-acre lot size minimum in future development,” Shelton said.
The eight-year resident added that she would like to see Leroy organize a regular farmer’s market to where residents can sell locally grown produce and homemade baked goods.
