Mark Jessie for Elyria City Council

Mark Jessie
Jessie, who is choir director for Elyria City Schools, holds a doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from the University of Oklahoma. He also is a member of Main Street Elyria.
Jessie, 56, and his wife, Jacqueline, are parents of four children.
If elected, Jessie said he plans to address neighborhood crime, streets and sidewalks, and would support Lorain County Metro parks’ take-over of Cascade Park.
Jessie said he will work with the community and 3rd Ward Block Watch to communicate with residents and help create solutions to help prevent crime. He also wants to move streets in most need of repair to the top of the list for renovation.
Jessie also said he will bring his high energy, passion and people skills to city council.
“My goal is to carefully research and intelligently analyze all issues ultimately affecting the quality of life in Elyria.”
