Thomas G. Callahan for Elyria City Council

Thomas G. Callahan
Callahan, a sales representative for the Ohio Lottery Commission, is seeking his fifth term for Elyria City Council.
He is a 1978 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and has attended classes at Lorain County Community College.
The 54-year-old father of one is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 774, Lorain County Historical Society and serves as chairman of the Community Development Committee.
Callahan was first elected to council in 2005, and re-elected in 2007, 2009 and 2011.
If re-elected, Callahan plans to address blighted houses in Elyria by applying for state and federal grant funds for demolition.
Callahan also wants to secure funding for East Broad Street construction and explore ways to improve basement flooding issues.
“As a member of council, I will continue working with all council members and the administration to find reasonable solutions to the challenges the city faces,” Callahan said.
